Description
This is a 4 part series taught in a live virtual format via Zoom.

The first session is scheduled for August 13th at 0700 PST (1000 EST)

Session 1: Introduction and overview of the CCRN Exam, Hemodynamics, and Cardiovascular
Session 2: Renal and Endocrine
Session 3: Neurology and Respiratory
Session 4: Multisystem, Gastrointestinal, and Hematology

16 Contact Hours will be awarded upon completion

Course Learning Objectives

• Review important anatomy and physiology for each body system and identify key normal and abnormal assessment findings
• Explore various disease’s etiology, signs and symptoms, diagnostic studies, and nursing interventions commonly used in managing critical care and progressive care patients.
• Compare several complex disease states in terms of clinical findings and diagnostic, complications, and nursing interventions
• Review various shock states and differentiate treatment options for each type.
• Interpret and analyze hemodynamic parameters, lab values, and selection of pharmacologic therapies to optimize perfusion and organ functions.
• Discuss common pulmonary derangements seen in the acute care setting and concepts in ventilator management.
• Review types of diabetes, and discuss the effects of various neuro-endocrine hormones on body systems
• Recognize normal and abnormal physiology of coagulation, fibrinolysis, and inflammation that may occur in patients with sepsis or coagulation disorders/.
• Utilize case studies to identify signs and symptoms of diseases related to the CCRN test plan, including cardiac, respiratory, gastrointestinal, neurological, endocrine, and renal systems

*Learner must complete each video session and submit evaluation in order to receive completion certificate.

Completion rules
  • All units must be completed
